I enjoy rock climbing and ropes courses and things like that.
I don't do it enough however.
But it does interest me. Just the idea of moving from the ground, upward.
I once heard a saying…
"You can't fall if you don't climb, but there's no joy in living your whole life on the ground."
So many of us have a fear of falling or failing…
So we ultimately just stay on the ground for fear of falling.
But how do you succeed?
How do you conquer tasks at hand?
There is absolutely no joy in living on the ground.
We HAVE to climb in order to find joy and a sense of joy.
In the wise words of William Wallace…
"Yes! Fight and you may die. Run and you will live, at least awhile. And dying in your bed many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days, from this day to that for one chance, just one chance, to come back here as young men and tell our enemies that they may take our lives but they will never take our freedom!"
Yeah…climb and you might not fall…
But….where is the joy? Where is the purpose? Where is the success?
Climb on my friend!
What mountains in your life right now do you need to climb?
Where in your life are you just standing on the ground unwilling to climb for fear of falling?
