So a week from yesterday, I will be leaving for Haiti.
I don't know what to expect.
I don't know how God will change me.
But I do know He will.
He will change me drastically.
On Janurary 12, 2010, Haiti was hit with a 7.0 magnitude earthquake.
It was reported to have left 45,000-85,000 people dead and over 1.5 million people homeless.
Haiti has yet to recover from this earthquake as well as the unstable and corrupt government even before the earthquake.
Haiti is considered one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
Most Haitians kind of have a hybrid religion mixed with Catholicism and Voodooism.
But God is doing some amazing things in Haiti and I can't wait to be a part of it.
Every time I go out of the country, I realize more and more how blessed I am.
We have so much...
We have houses to live in. We have food to eat...we actually eat 3-4 meals a day.
We have education, vehicles to drive, phones to talk on, clean water to drink...
And I realize it's not like that for everyone here in the United States,
but for me...I am so blessed. I have so much.
More than I ever will need.
Every time I go out of the country to some of these third world countries...
It puts everything back into perspective for me.
Please be in prayer for me and I can't wait to tell you all about it!
