Cal Ripkin Jr. (who I am honored to be named after) holds the record for 2,632 games played...in a row.
He didn't take days off.
He is nicknamed "Ironman"--He just never took days off.
Spiritually, we cannot take days off.
Because our advisory, satan, doesn't take days off.
The moment you let your guard down,
the moment you take some time just for yourself,
when you decide to take a day off, relax--
Because you feel "you deserve it..."
Is when satan will attack the strongest!
We can't take days off. Satan doesn't...
Ever tempted to take some time off spiritually?
Being a Christ follower is hard.
I mean, we deserve some time off right?!
Wrong!
This is an every day battle!
When King David decided to take a day off and not go to battle,
Satan attacked.
By the end of the day, he had slept with another mans wife and in the coming days, killed her husband...
I think it's safe to say satan attacks us the strongest when we're alone and taking days off.
Stay strong today.
Hold fast.
Don't give in!
Joshua 22:5 says "But be very careful to keep the commandments and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commandments, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul."
