I need to pray more.
I struggle praying…
I know I'm not the only one out there that struggles with prayer.
A book I'm reading through right now is called "Draw the Circle" by Mark Batterson.
It's a 40 day prayer challenge. To help us understand the power and the potential of prayer.
In the first day it says,
"If you pray to God regularly, irregular things will happen on a regular basis."
Woah…let's read that again...
"If you pray to God regularly, irregular things will happen on a regular basis."
Prayer is how we connect with God.
Prayer is how we start to understand God's plan for our life.
"The plans of God are only revealed in the presence of God."
We want all these things to happen for our life…
We want a new job, a promotion, a new car, the check in the mail, that girl or that guy…
But we spend so much time trying to fix those problems,
that we forget that "the plans of God are only revealed in the presence of God."
'We have to stop trying to manufacture our own miracles,
stop trying to answer our own prayers,
stop trying to do God's job for Him.'
What we do need to do is get on our knees…
Acts 10:2 talks about how a man Cornelius "prayed to God regularly."
How often are you spending time with God?
How is your prayer life?
Are your eyes on your problems or present circumstances?
Or are your eyes on Jesus?
I know this is something I need to work on!
Who's with me?
Prayer is powerful! Very, very powerful!
