It makes me want to put my fist through the console.
Here's my frustration.
It seems...maybe it's just me...
But it seems, since it's Christmas time...let's stop playing the music about Jesus and start playing
"CHESTNUTS ROASTING ON AN OPEN FIRE..."
I mean really?!
I thought Christmas was a time to focus on Jesus...
not some large, brown, strange nut.
It's just another example that Christmas is about so much...and rarely is it about Jesus.
In America, from my point of view, Christmas is about presents, christmas lights, sitting on some large bearded mans lap, snowmen, shopping, warm, fuzzy feelings, hot cocoa and fireplaces, the colors red and green, decorations and parties.
And apparently chestnuts, hippopotamuses, a deer with a red nose and some santa baby....Oh gracious I hate that song!
We miss the point y'all!
We miss it by a lot!
Like miss it as bad as Melissa McCarthy trying to hit a fast ball from Randy Johnson.
Maybe this Christmas we can do a little re-focusing.
Focus that lens a little bit!
This time, especially this time, we need a little more Jesus....
not a little less.
We seem to take the time we once focused on Jesus and replace it with all this other ****
(cough cough sniffle sniffle)...Hoopla!
It's about JESUS...Nothing more, nothing less!
It's better that way!
