I love watching pretty much any sport.
I love watching the passion in the players eyes.
I love seeing the determination in their spirits.
I love seeing the underdogs win.
Often times in the middle of a tough fought game where it looks like the underdog doesn't have quite enough…
I'll say to the person sitting beside me, "You're about to see one of the greatest comebacks of all time."
I love seeing comebacks.
I remember watching the 2005 Illinois Fighting Illini play the Arizona Wildcats.
Illinois was down 15 with just 4 minutes to go…pretty much over right?! Well...
Illinois mounted "one of the greatest comebacks of all time" and won 90-89 in overtime.
Often times we start off thinking we are capable of anything.
That we could conquer anything that stood in front of us…
But then life happens…and we lose our job,
or that big bill comes in the mail, or we lose a family member,
or we don't get that promotion…
Life happens and we lose confidence.
We struggle to believe if we have any value left at all.
What's interesting about comebacks is that they are never done alone.
Deron Williams could not have brought the Illini back on his own.
Dee Brown could not have done it on his own.
Luther Head couldn't have mounted that 15 point comeback on his own.
They needed each other. They needed their team.
First we have to realize that we are all eligible for a comeback.
I'm gonna say that again…
We are all eligible for a comeback. It is possible.
Secondly, we have to realize that comebacks don't happen without help.
No, asking for help is not sexy. But it's necessary.
Truly, great stories are written through the blood, sweat and tears!
If you're life is in need of a comeback…
It's time. You're eligible for a comeback!
But it can't be done alone. Ask for help!
We can't do life alone--God never meant for us to try.
Stay strong. Keep your head and
PREPARE YOURSELF FOR A COMEBACK!
