So I haven't blogged here at Climbing Through the Aftermath in a little over a month,
so here we go.
But if you have been missing my blog posts, check out my Instagram page @caldunlap where I try to blog a little through pictures and other stuff through that network.
But anyways, here's a little something.
So today I tweeted this out...
"Use social media as a coffee table not a megaphone."
So it's been retweeted and favorited but I wanted to explain what I meant by that.
Social media is too often used as a megaphone to scream to others what we think,
how they should do things,
ways in which we do things,
and/or our beliefs and values.
And all that is well and good at times, but the problem is that's where the conversation stops.
We accept no other views, thoughts or arguments.
When we use social media as a coffee table, we sit, think, speak and let others respond--
And when they respond, we respond back with thoughtful conversation.
It's more respectful.
It might take a little more effort.
It might take a little more give and take.
But social media is meant to bring together not to tear apart.
Does this make sense?
I hope it maybe hit home to you as it hit home to me.
Have an awesome weekend!
Be on the lookout for a post early next week to reveal the sex of our baby in a real creative way!
Get excited y'all!
It's gonna be fun!
so here we go.
